Dunleavy Hall, distinctive in its contrast to the stately 19th- and 20th-century buildings that dominate NU’s campus, was built at a cost of $2.5 million and dedicated in 1972. Dunleavy Hall currently contains the College of Arts & Sciences, NU’s oldest and largest undergraduate college.

The facility, named for its primary benefactors, Francis J. Dunleavy, Class of 1941, and his wife, Albina, contains classrooms, modernized television production facilities, a state-of-the-art MAC lab and faculty offices.
