• NU's multi-purpose Butler Building, built in 1980, was reconfigured in 2011 to provide a one-stop resource for university students. The offices of Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Records can be found inside Butler, allowing students to register for classes, pay a bill, research scholarships, add funds to their ID cards, and replenish their meal plans — all in one visit.

The university's Health Center, staffed by nurses, a nurse practitioner and a physician, is also located here, right around the corner from the Campus Store, a bookstore operated by Barnes and Noble that carries new and used books, school supplies, CDs and several lines of NU clothing.
